Energy Efficiency Projects in HISPANO TEX: Promoting a Cleaner and Sustainable Economy

HISPANO TEX, S.A. has received funding for its energy savings and efficiency project titled “Replacement of Air Loom with a New Electric Loom.” This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), and managed by the regional governments, through the National Energy Efficiency Fund. The main objective of this project is to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable economy.

A comprehensive energy improvement project has been developed, focusing on enhancing the energy efficiency of the loom system. Thanks to this project, an annual saving of 7.32 tons of oil equivalent (toe) has been achieved. The replacement of existing air looms with new electric looms represents a significant advancement in terms of energy efficiency. These electric looms are designed to utilize energy more efficiently, minimizing losses and optimizing consumption. This not only reduces operational costs but also contributes to a lower carbon footprint.

Furthermore, HISPANO TEX, S.A. has also received funding for another energy savings and efficiency project titled “Replacement of Two Compressors with a High-Efficiency Compressor.” Similarly, this project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by IDAE, and managed by the regional governments, through the National Energy Efficiency Fund. The objective remains the same: to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable economy.

In this particular project, an energy improvement plan has been implemented by installing a high-efficiency compressed air generation system. HISPANO TEX, S.A. has replaced two compressors with a single high-efficiency compressor. This new compressor consumes less energy while generating the same amount of compressed air, resulting in significant energy savings. As a result of this project, an annual saving of 8.66 tons of oil equivalent (toe) has been achieved.

Both projects reflect HISPANO TEX, S.A.’s commitment to promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in its industrial operations. The funding received from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by IDAE and managed by the regional governments, has been instrumental in implementing these energy improvements. This collaboration between the public and private sectors demonstrates a joint commitment to drive energy efficiency and contribute to a more sustainable economy.

These initiatives not only deliver economic and environmental benefits for HISPANO TEX, S.A. but also foster innovation and technological development in the textile sector. The implementation of more efficient technologies strengthens the company’s competitiveness and positions it as a leader in terms of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

In summary, HISPANO TEX, S.A. has received funding for two energy savings and efficiency projects. The first project involves the replacement of air looms with electric looms, resulting in an annual saving of 7.32 tons of oil equivalent (toe). The second project focuses on the replacement of compressors with a high-efficiency compressor, leading to an annual saving of 8.66 tons of oil equivalent (toe). These initiatives highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability and its efforts to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable economy.”
